Work and Development Orders

WDO sponsor application

Once you start an application to become a Work and Development Order (WDO) sponsor, you must complete all mandatory fields and submit the application. You will not be able to save a partially completed application. Please refer to the points below for the information and documentation you will need to complete your application.

The Sponsor Application Factsheet can also be used for assistance in completing this application. This factsheet will assist you in understanding your insurance and qualification requirements. Also available at www.revenue.nsw.gov.au is further information related to the WDO Scheme and other Revenue NSW services.

The following is a summary of required supporting information & documentation needed to successfully complete your application.

Completed application form including:

  1. An ABN or AHPRA registration number
  2. If you or your caseworkers will be working with children under the age of 18, you will need to provide Working with Children certification details
  3. Information relating to relevant experience, vocational or tertiary qualifications (for detailed information on what qualifications are required for specific activities please refer to the Factsheet)
  4. If educational/vocational or life skills course are to be provided by your organisation, you will need to provide details of the courses offered or run by your organisation
  5. Insurance documentation for Public Liability; Professional Indemnity; and/or Voluntary Workers (only for Non-Government Organisations). Copies of certificates of currency for all relevant insurances need to be attached as part of the application process
  6. Details of a referee. Where funding is received, the contact should, if possible, be a representative or employee of the funding organisation. Alternatively, a referee can be a representative of an agency that works closely with your organisation (only for Non-Government Organisations)
